Santa's Crypto Get-Together started in December 2001 as the first annual Czech and Slovak workshop aiming to facilitate closer cooperation of professionals working in the field of applied cryptography and related areas of security.

This get-together of experts is organised in order to foster exchange of information and ideas on past, ongoing, and also future projects. We recognise the need of experts meeting their colleagues without the hassle of taking care of their organisation (potential) customers, bosses and other distracting forces. ;-)

This workshop will consist of

• a full day with an official program, informal meetings and a panel on Thursday, 6 December 2007
• a half-day of presentations and discussions on Friday, 7 December 2007.

There will be invited talks at the workshop. The following speakers agreed to participate at the workshop:

• Willi Meier (Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz)
            Design and Analysis of eSTREAM candiates
• Claudia Diaz (KU Leuven)
            Observable Steganographic File Systems

We have decided to also invite several experts from the Czech Republic. Our invitation accepted:

• Vlastimil Klima (independent cryptologist)
            on topic of hash functions,
• Zdenek Riha
            on topic of cryptography mechanisms used in electronical passports,
• Pavel Vondruska (Telefonica O2)
            — excursion to cryptographical history.
