Santa's Crypto Get-Together started in December 2001 as the first annual Czech and Slovak workshop aiming to facilitate closer cooperation of professionals working in the field of applied cryptography and related areas of security.

This get-together of experts is organised in order to foster exchange of information and ideas on past, ongoing, and also future projects. We recognise the need of experts meeting their colleagues without the hassle of taking care of their organisation (potential) customers, bosses and other distracting forces. ;-)

This workshop will consist of

• a full day with an official program, informal meetings and a panel on Thursday, 7 December 2006
• a half-day of presentations and discussions on Friday, 8 December 2006.

There will be invited talks at the workshop. The following speakers agreed to participate at the workshop:

• Alex Biryukov (University of Luxembourg)
            Block and Stream ciphers, and the Creatures In Between
• Riccardo Focardi (Universita Ca' Foscari di Venezia)
            the topic to be specified

For this year, we have decided to also invite several experts from the Czech Republic. Our invitation accepted:

            Security of Information Systems and Design Flaws - Can We Prevent Them?
• Vlastimil Klima (independent cryptologist)
            New Generation of Hash Functions
• Pavel Vondruska (Telefonica O2)
