Thoughts On Cryptography in Banking
Dan Cvrcek
The talk will summarise several points related to problems of implementing and managing cryptographic systems in a large bank. It will focus on three areas. The first area is the end-to-end and cross-platform nature of cryptographic systems which goes against the usual structuring of IT management groups in a large organisation. The second area covers compatibility issues of IT systems developed in the span of many years. The last part of the article touches some problems related to practical problems of running support and management groups in charge of cryptographic systems.
